Don't feel great about Ohio State not even giving Fields an x-ray at half. That feels a lot like "we're not going to ask questions we don't want to know the answer to"

We're all about player safety though remember?Don't feel great about Ohio State not even giving Fields an x-ray at half. That feels a lot like "we're not going to ask questions we don't want to know that answer to"
No but Ohio State is missing 8-10 starters.
Starters or players? No but Ohio State is missing 8-10 starters.
And people want a 12 or 16-team playoff? There are the couple of haves and the rest are have nots in the end. It will get to an 8-team playoff, but man there are going to be a bunch of bloodbaths in that with the 7 and 8 seeds. We already usually get at least one every year in the Semifinals, and this year it may be both games.
Who woulda thought having your oline basically play scrimmages most of the season while they stay healthy and rested and working out all season would be helpful....

I actually think the Big 10 as an organization (not the member schools) did at least an ok job. Because I did like how long they made players wait before coming back after testing positive. We're all about player safety though remember?

I'm sure Florida would like to have opted out of their game with LSU in hindsight. After today.... Alabama, Clemson, and ND will have played 12 games. tOSU will have only played 7. That is a HUGE difference on the wear and tear on a person's body..... WAY less hits taken. It isn't a level playing field.
And tOSU opted out of a game they could have played.... but just chose not to. That's BS. I think that's a large part of why Dabo was ticked about tOSU making it in.
Yeah, I had the same thought. How can you know that?I didn't like Ryan Day's comments going into halftime at all. Asked about the health of Fields, Day said.... "he has to play for 30 more minutes". Really? He "HAS" to? Why? What if he has broken ribs or internal bleeding?
They don't care about the health of these young men. If they did, Ryan Day would have said.... "we need to evaluate him at halftime and see where he is".... or something to that affect. But nope..... "he has to play 30 more minutes". Even if it kills him I guess? If it's true they didn't even x-ray him at the half, that's despicable.
That was a big drive from Clemson right there. Definitely needed that if they really had a chance. I could certainly see this turning and being a tie ball game or something with 5-6 minutes left.

I don't think so. These teams seem to play to their potential when it matters. Look we all talked about how Ohio State hasn't looked the part this year. They don't even look like the same team tonight. There would be so many blowouts in a 12 or 16-team playoff. The 8-seed this year would have been Cincy in an 8-team playoff. Alabama would have absolutely made them wave the white flag.I mean but its not like this is always the case. There are plenty of times that top teams lose during the regular season, and that would only increase in a playoff with more high-ranked games.
His broken rib will end up in his lung before the game is over.Don't feel great about Ohio State not even giving Fields an x-ray at half. That feels a lot like "we're not going to ask questions we don't want to know the answer to"
Do you think Matt Campbell or his players would call ND a "paper tiger?"
