I'm hopeful they are trying to pair ISU vs Kentucky or Mizzou.

Maybe..Texas put up a fit about having to play Missouri in the Texas bowl. It was reported earlier in the week Texas would not play any Big 12 traitors. Technically for the Texas bowl, they only announced the Big 12 team so maybe the SEC team in in limbo.

Somehow, it then leaves another SEC team to go to the Liberty bowl and that is what the hold up is?

Split and then it all goes to the conference and split equally among big12 teams. Not sure about the rest of conferences.

Each team gets half of it and that goes to a conference pool which is evenly split with the rest of the Big 12.
