Bolton Article

I am pretty sure TJ just wanted to get rid of anyone that had anything to do with that 2 win season. Like bad Karma, Bad aura or whatever. Just move on, get new guys who had nothing to do with last year, and win. Bolton would have offensively did us wonders this season. However, would he have bought in on the defense? If not we would have won less games.

Well, he kept Johnson, Walker, Hinson, Foster (until he couldn't) and Conditt so...

The Bolton thing wasn't any sort of explosive situation or anything particularly scandalous. TJ and the team wanted him to move on and we aren't getting Brockington if Bolton is here but the idea of having Boltons skillset even if coming off the bench would be nice.

He initially kept half the squad (Johnson, hinson, foster, conditt, Jackson, walker) so I'm not sure how your statement equates.
Foster was a top IA recruit and hurt last year and played a position we are thin at. In hindsight that gamble did not pay off but I see why he was not immediately shown the door and that saga still is going on now too with him not being charged. Hinson left after it became apparent he would not have as big of role as he would have liked. I think Jackson and Walker have shown they bought into this system and both have had to deal with ever changing playing time and roles lately too.

The bottom line is we don't know everything that was going on in that locker room last year and I hope we don't dwell too much on the hypotheticals because this has been a season far beyond what any of us could have hoped for so let's just enjoy it now.

Rasir was over heard after loses laughing and saying 'I got mine'. The administrative person did not like that. That's a small piece of what we're talking about.
And decided to gossip about a student rather than publicly state something? One person has been willing to go on record, and that has been Bolton. Gossip tells me much more about the person spreading it than the person they are discussing.

Also, I love the game that people play when it comes to a player not being sufficiently upset about what, like loss #14 in a row? How long should guys stay off their phones when ISU loses? Don't want someone to see something slightly funny and be a bit less upset. Is being mad for 30 minutes enough or does it have to be until they wake up the next morning?

I get that you don't want someone out there playing solely to "get theirs" but this thing kind of makes me feel like people forget that these are basically kids playing a game and you probably shouldn't want them to be completely distraught after every loss. Again, even if these rumors are true, I don't think it's fair to judge any single player for last year's debacle. It was an unprecedented disaster and I'm sure every player wanted to win.

If all this crap was really said by people employed within the basketball program, it would seem very Mean Girls. Hopefully it’s a whole lot of fans shooting the crap.

I did see some of the old Rasir come thru in this game. The dribble myself into a bad spot and pass it to a teammate who was in an equally bad position who takes the turnover. That happened at least twice. And the got lost on defense and left someone wide open happened a couple times too.
He's fast, hustles, has a nice shot, and not afraid to attack. Lots of redeeming qualities. Should have one year left of he takes the covid year and Gonzaga extends the scholarship for it

Rasir had a nice season but last night was exactly what I think of when I think of him. He hit a shot early, looked like he had some pep in step, was headed for a good game and few minutes later, he had a layup blocked into the crowd. After that, he was almost invisible. One negative play or hard foul and his head is completely out of the game.

If what he had upstairs and in his chest matched his physical skills, he'd be a beast.

Overall, he had a pretty good year and I'm sure enjoyed all the wins after last season. If he continues playing, would think it would be at Gonzaga. They just always reload.
