BIG XII > B1G

That is how it could be, but in reality our recruiting is not there yet. Imo the decrease in competition would make up for any loss in recruiting pull we may have on 3rd and 4th tier Texas kids. Not being in a southern based conference hurts the top programs that are accustom to getting superior talent, and thus helps those recruiting at our level. BTW, Iowa has gotten equal players (in terms of talent) from Texas as ISU- being a fraud pays.

How do we get so many Florida kids?

Need minimum of two 30 something guys on staff that can go to Texas and recruit 1a or tier two talent (not 3-4 tier). Is that Mangino and Linguist? Not sure how we get Florida guys. We've done pretty well down there for decades.

Which is why the leaving the Big 12 impact on Texs recruiting is overstated. Our recruiting is not good enough to where it would matter much imo.

Local San Diego news has former Chargers players that wrap up NFL each week. They just described how bad the Raiders are by saying they have a "Big 10 offense, with the same results". Now that's funny.

Speaking of Florida guys that came to ISU, this is one of the all time greats. Had no idea he had spent so much time coaching in D1 and in the NFL. WR Coach for the Texans. Chris, need to get him on the podcast.
