Big night for Sage

Someone in the front office must have really pushed to draft TJ, because he has never looked like an NFL QB, especially a starter to me. Sage is not Farve even though Cyclone glasses, but in almost every game I have seen them play, Sage has been clearly better.

Childress hand picked TJack, he was his "diamond in the rough" that he thought he could mold. That is why he is getting more opportunities than he deserves.

They need tom move on from T-Jack, he's never going to be anything but a decent backup, not the solid, wise decision making QB you need get to the Super Bowl.

I'm happy for Sage though, he played a solid game.

100% Correct. Vikings traded up for him and he was Chilly's pet project.

Begs the question, who's the better NFL QB - Tavarius Jackson or Jamarcus Russell?

Not a T Jack fan but no it doesn't...in so many ways I'd need time to list them. What common dominators do the two share that makes this question "beg(ged)" to be asked? Why compare these two?

Because they both suck.

…given your broad definition, so do many NFL QB's (i.e…those that are not good enough to start). Most teams have 2 QB's behind the starter. That provides many other comparisons that are begging to be made. Why T Jack?

Russell was a first rounder. T Jack was a second rounder. They came into the league with completely different expectations and hype. Russell got a HUGE guaranteed signing bonus. He turned out to be lazy and got fat. T Jack beat the Giants, at Giant Stadium( the year they went to the Super Bowl) and lead the Vikings to a playoff birth.

How in anyway are their situations comparable?

Was just trying to steer you clear of the race issue. But, you obviously want to go down that road. Enjoy.

If Childress could coach for ****, they would have two Super Bowls.

Good point. After all, he called that "Favre throw the ball to the Saint's player play" during the NFC Championship game last season. :jimlad:

Look…I think everyone acknowledges that we( i.e. Viking's fans) have suffered through some on-the-job training Childress has gone through. But to totally discard him as a bad coach...period…is beyond short-sighted. He has come a long way since his rookie season and last season was the first year he had a QB that was capable of taking the team to the Super Bowl. A QB he recruited to join the team, I might add.

Oh jesus, lets not get started on that.
