Anyone know when these are going to be released? I'm expecting we get at least 2 of them this year, maybe 3.

A quick google search shows that typically those have come out in mid to late july, so i'd imagine any time now.

I'm guessing we get KU at home, maybe we get it for michigan, at OSU, at KU, and possibly iowa depending on the hype they get

I think maybe the KU games, just because of how both went last year. After that, no. Even getting both of the KU games would be kind of shocking. ISU just doesn't have that national recognition yet. I think it's clear that it is coming, at least in MBB, but ESPN isn't ready to bet heavy on ISU.

I don't know, there are clearly 4 teams in the top tier of the Big XII and then everyone else. I expect those 4 teams, KU, OSU, Baylor and ISU, to get the bulk of the Big Monday games. I think we'll definitely get a KU game on Big Monday and then probably an OSU game as well.

You know there will be multiple Texas games too, no matter how bad they are.

I think we just get 1 as well. KU @ Hilton

We've got a shot at 2, but cannot see getting more than that.

I think there's usually eight Big Monday games. If I'm in charge, here are the clear top seven games for the upcoming season, and you could go a few different ways for the list after this.

KU @ OSU
OSU @ KU
KU @ ISU
KU @ BU
OSU @ BU
OSU @ ISU
KU @ KSU

For whatever reason (I assume there's some restrictions on how these games are allocated that I'm not fully aware of), however, ESPN manages to massively screw up this process every year. Last year, notably, #3 KU @ #11 KSU could only be found on the intertoobs with Dave fking Armstrong, at the same time West Virginia and Texas Tech battled for 8th place on ESPN2.

big12.com wrote an article about this a few years ago. ESPN chooses the games, with input from the conference. My guess is its 98% ESPN choosing, and 2% Big 12.

i'd expect both KU and OSU to get their 4 games max.

WOW!!!

I realize it's not the same as "Big Monday" , but wasn't there always a second BIg12 game the same night on ESPNU last season? Or maybe it was Tuesday. ?? Or was that Wed.? Crap. Or maybe I'm drunk? lol

Yeah.... KU is going to get a home game on there. Maybe BU @ KU instead. Don't see a big reason to put multiple Big Monday games @BU.

Most of those make sense as candidates, but I'm sure Texas will get at least one.

This was 2013 Big Monday for Big 12

Had 9 games instead of 8, because one date had two big 12 matchups.

Didn’t realize West Virginia got three games. No new member should get that many games.

If we figure 8 games, I'll guess six vague possibilities:
Kansas at Iowa State
Oklahoma State at Kansas (or OSU at KU — one will be featured Saturday game)
Kansas at Kansas State
Texas at Baylor
Somebody at Kansas
Somebody at OSU

Others possible:
Oklahoma State at Iowa State
Kansas/OSU at Tech (Tubby factor)
Baylor at West Virginia (Huggins factor)
KU-Baylor
Oklahoma at Texas
