Big 12 Statement 9.1.2021

How about looking at final rankings on a three year rolling average or something like that? You'd think that, I don't know, how good teams actually are might be a good criteria.

Well, it's a good criteria unless you are trying to make a really bad point that a reconstituted Big 12 with Cincy and BYU wouldn't be a power conference while the PAC or ACC would.
I don’t think this is a bad addition. But it could not be the only. Because it ignores the depth. It’s easier to win 10 games when 6 of those games are against puffs.

That’s why you look at a number of criteria.

The narrative will be twisted, just as it is right now. But reality will win out, just like it is right now.

I'm onboard with the rumored 4 but I would rather substitute Memphis over UCF. I am surprised to see that UCF has a huge student enrollment so maybe I am overlooking something there but Memphis seems to have more appeal to me. The Big 12 will not be able to replace the name recognition and history that Texas and Oklahoma have but the programs they could bring in may make the conference as a whole more balanced and give them a recruiting boost too.

Hey, FedEx: what kinda money we talkin?

Honestly after watching the Ohio state vs Minnesota game. I’m alright with being in a lesser conference and getting a fairly officiated game. I’m don’t with this “big boys get all the calls” crap.
