Damn good eyes to catch the cigarette. Still would.Ah yeah, the aroma of a glowing cancer stick while you’re chowing down on your pan pizza.

The one in CF or Mason City? The OP does Canadian Bacon and Sauerkraut better but Happy Joe's is super solid.
You’d still smoke that cig while I was trying to eat my pizza? You son of a *****.Damn good eyes to catch the cigarette. Still would.

While the one in Forest City is/was really good, the original in Chester (I think it was the original anyway) was frickin' amazing. I have yet to find any pizza as good as that place was.Borderline Pizza and Forest City, IA.

I believe there was a place in Charles City for a while that used the same recipe, I think were related to the original Boarderline owners or something and got the recipe from them, not sure if it is still there.
Years ago my wife and I drove 1.5 hours just to get it in Forest City after learning they still had one. It was really good, just not quite as good as the Chester one.
I’m honestly surprised I never heard of borderline. I lived in Cresco for a while in the late 80’s and only knew of Hawkeye pizza and Mabes, both of which were pretty good. While the one in Forest City is/was really good, the original in Chester (I think it was the original anyway) was frickin' amazing. Every OP I've been to other than Waverly. The one in CF or Mason City?
I like a good Canadian bacon and sauerkraut pizza.
Imagine what else she might be good at with all that practice sucking on a cigarette.Damn good eyes to catch the cigarette. Still would.
Been in CR all my life...this list IS my formative years...and honestly could not add to it! I mean there were other pizza places in the area obviously but I can't think of one that is missing (Pizza Inn maybe, Xavier's was just like Naso's and Leo's)! So much fun meeting friends at Happy Joes/Godfathers or Pizza Hut...and as long as we were being cool...those places all seemed to welcome us teenagers!Godfather's was up there in my world. Growing up in CR/Marion the best places for pizza were a mix of chains and non-chains, in no order (yet)...
Godfather's
Leonardo's (16th Ave. SW side of CR)
Happy Joe's (Lindale Mall)
Pizza Hut
Naso's (7th Ave. Marion)
Nothing brings back mall cafeteria nostalgia like Sbarro. I don't think I've ever had it anywhere besides the now demolished Mall of the Bluffs“Oh, look! A Sbarro. My favorite New York pizza joint. And I'm going to go get me a New York slice!”

This is one classic pizza pie and one classic The Office moment !![]()
Can't believe deep dish pizza is winning, that's crazy. I'm not some elitist that thinks it's not pizza but still.
Harris Pizza or Happy Joe’sQuad city style? What's that, like Casey's or something?
That's some memories right there. I remember that food court feeling really extravagant in its design when it first opened and pizza by the slice was a wild concept to 10 year old, small town Iowa me.Nothing brings back mall cafeteria nostalgia like Sbarro.
