Beaty to start

Interesting, I was wondering if he would use Paulk to try to replace Jackson’s defense, but I understand her offensive issues.

I expect we will see a lot more Wilson tomorrow too.

I won't be surprised to see Paulk get a bunch of minutes just for her defense. With all the scorers WVU has, it will be a chess match as to how to use Paulk best.
 
Starting Beatty doesn’t help our already below average defense. Jackson’s defense will definitely be missed.
 
No surprise there. Only real option considering who has gotten minutes this year and Fennelly seems to love her.

Will be interesting to see if we can keep from turning it over a bunch versus WVU pressure. WVU leads the league in turning over their opponents. AJ had only turned the ball over 3 times all year. She didn't handle the ball that much but that's still a pretty impressive stat but sort of fits the no risk conservative style we play. She's tied with Tanke for least turnovers but has played 8X the minutes of the deep bench Tanke.

Not a fan of Beaty and Jada on the court together. Jada has been struggling from three and Beaty is 1-6 on the year. Beaty is good running the point, but she doesn’t help us on defense or offense at shooting guard. If I am WVU I’m watching the Baylor tape and I’m doing the same thing. Spacing the floor will be a real issue.

Going to require a lot more movement than we’ve seen of late. If the guards stand in the corners hoping a defender trips over their shoe lace (note the heavy sarcasm) it could be a long afternoon.

Could be interesting. Last season WVU was one of the best three point defending teams in the Big 12. So far, statically, they are one of the worst this season so maybe Hare/Harris can get some good looks. Beaty is a little turnover prone and not a high % three shooters so not sure how she fits in versus pressure defense.

Coach Fenn stressed all off season about improving Defense and Rebounding. Since your article mentioning intensity changed when Paulk came on the floor he’s given her a one minute leash.
