Audi Crooks to Transfer

How is this style of play different than the “Get the ball to Ashley” style we ran for 5 years prior?
Ashley had a lot more athleticism and the play was more exciting. With Audi, it was lob (or try to) to her, watch her get mobbed by 2-3 defenders, then sometimes make her shot, sometimes travel, sometimes get fouled, occasionally pass it out.

Basically I said the same thing. Womens basketball is already not getting super great ratings. Finally found an angle on a game and they don't want the angle to happen? That is a weird take on it. You absolutely go to the schedule team and say "make sure Audi Crooks plays in Ames this next season".
I didn’t see your post until after I wrote mine, or I would have tagged along with yours - we’re of like mind…must see TV, though most of the country won’t care

True but most people in the country won't care anyway, might as well get some good ratings and make some money at Hilton with the game.

You can buy a lot of big name, talented players. But its a lot harder to buy a TEAM.

This sorta feels like Kansas spending a ton last year on Storr, Mayo, Dickinson and coming up small.
Or Kentucky this year. Et al.
Exactly. Are they there to win first or are they there because that's who offered the most? Both those things can happen, but my guess is it won't happen at OSU this year.

I don’t watch much WBB but aren’t there basically the same 6-8 teams or less that have any chance of winning the national championship?
Yes. UCONN and South Carolina dominate the sport. Barring a major injury, you can go ahead and put those two in the FF next year. LSU is in that group, usually. Anyone outside those few is a crap shoot every year. The schools listed have won 4 of the last 5 titles.

So, sure, OSU has a chance to make a FF. But there is no way that roster is getting a title.

They won't. And I'd pencil in USC (Trojans) for a FF and possible Natty next year.

I’m not sure I’d call “drive the ball into 2 or 3 defenders and throw a wild shot somewhere near the basket” entertaining.
