So Audi has chosen a one year payday, maybe at OU, versus a lifetime of praise and connections with the Cyclone Nation and Iowa State. Hope it is worth it.
I keep seeing people say Audi is giving up having her jersey retired or something.

All American honors and some scoring records and a fan favorite. I certainly wouldn't have been surprised to see it retired. Especially if they would have had some tourney success her senior yr. But it's not worth internet fighting about. I'm more interested in where she goes along with the rumors of the payday.
Why wouldn't she take a payday? Would you change jobs for hundreds of thousands of dollars? Praise doesn't buy houses. It doesn't provide a lifetime of financial security. Think about it, if she makes $500K more than she would've at Iowa State, that's $8,000,000 at retirement age.
And how is she burning her connections? Is her Fareway deal going away? It would surprise me if it was Iowa State specific. And if she goes to another school and is an All American, it would increase her value as a brand spokesperson.

Watching the women's games tonight, I laugh at the idea of Audi being on any of these teams. They are way too fast. That said I do think she's an amazing ambassador for basketball. I wish she's would've stayed because I think she could've had endorsements in Iowa for the next 10 years. She has such a distinct look that you would never forget her. But I also understand why would you stay with Bill another year? She needs to go somewhere that can try to develop her.
Smart if true, abandon everything but MBB and Football, shoot if we can drop WBB and maybe do curling instead, maybe some bobsled, actual sports where we can send people to the Olympics, road cycling maybe.
