Assistant Coaches

Makes me think about Farniok's roommates telling the story about him ripping a door off its hinges in excitement when that weird OL coach under Rhoads got canned. Chris Klenakis?
Rhoads just did not have great connections after his first staff, did he?

Just saw on Twitter/X that Bobbit said there is no Co-DC, he will be the DC..

Judging by Watson's profile picture, and the fact that he's not on the Toledo website, he is a Cyclone.

It very well could be that Watson will be safeties and defensive pass game coordinator or something like that. He'll very likely be our second highest paid defensive assistant coach behind Bobbit.

Chris Campbell as S&C is an absolute homerun hire. NW Iowa kid with a strong work ethic. Was actually a WR at Iowa State for a year and then transferred to Iowa Western where he ended up getting injured and hanging up his cleats. He was a hell of an athlete at Cherokee, a few years older than Brock Dagel, if anyone remembers that name.

After Iowa Western he came back to work under Yancy McKnight and has now bounced around D1 having success everywhere he's been.

I can't guarantee how well things will work out, but I can PROMISE you that you won't find someone that will work harder or that wants to be here anymore than Chris.

As an aside Chris' older brother Brock was also a hell of an athlete and played safety for SDSU the same exact time that Jimmy was a LB there. Guessing that is the connection.

Any new updates or rumors regarding assistants on the offensive side of the ball? I think all we have is an O-line coach, could be wrong tho

Remember that name fondly. I was a Senior at SCC, my claim to fame is pancaking him one time. He didn't appreciate that too much. Kicked my ass the rest of the game.
