What you're saying is the same description that Hoiberg gives. He has said publicly that the slowdown SIU system didn't fit Booker at all, and it ended up becoming a confidence problem. He said that last year, their focus with Anthony was restoring his confidence, and that would go a long way for him in the uptempo system.

The DG comparison is perfect. Once unleashed, we all know that DG wasn't the same player at all. I'm not putting any stock in the SIU stats because they aren't really relevant to what we're looking to do here.

I'm not disagreeing with anything said here about playing styles because DG has shown that it can make all the difference. However, I was thinking last year that Brackins would have had a monster year with his skill set in CFH's system. His ability to run, shoot outside, and his mid range game would have him averaging over 20pts a game. Brackins flourished under Mac's system as well which is a more grind out half court system. Maybe some players are so good that they can perform in any system and others need the right circumstances.
