Another accent/dialect thread (with test)

Was just gonna post this. The other one I notice is roof. I say roof, like rooooof. Lots of people here say something like ruff. EDIT: or like the chess piece, rook.

A friend of mine cannot say the word "wolf". It only comes out "woof". Has no discernable speech issues otherwise and is a pretty well-read guy. He's aware of it and he cannot fix it.

Wow, I got Lincoln, Nebraska, Amarillo and Lubbock, Texas.

I've never been to Texas before in my life.

Rockford, Grand Rapids, Toledo.

Born and raised in CR, but have lived in Buffalo for the last 5 years, so that makes sense.

I don't know if it's an OCD thing but I have to pronounce it as it's spelled, Feb-ru-ary.

I do the same. Same with "Wed-nes-day," even if it's quicker, more like "Wednsday."

I'm not even born in the US and English is not my first language, but it pegged me as Omaha, Lincoln, Wichita. I guess I learned most of my English colloquialisms in Ames/DesMoines, so maybe that's why.
