There was an article in the Gazette a few days back written by what a assume is national writer (female).

It was long and all about Clark but the oddest thing was the references like "when you're the greatest shooter" and of course getting pinballed around in games.

Is there any basis for saying words like the greatest shooter?

It certainly looked like it in that game against Liberty when she was draining 3s over Breanna Stewart who has comparable length to Kevin Durant. Then this 1-20 happened and it shows how the slightest injury or mental funk can completely throw it off.

Over past few games? similar or worse, definitely far less efficient with 6 to/game. She’s like 1-20 from 3.

I suspect she was playing hurt, nobody cared when Tyrese had his one bad finals game clearly hurt, they just blasted his 0-6 shooting line.

Again I’m not saying Reese is remotely comparable to CC, I’m laughing at the people who look at those lines I posted from Reese and say she isn’t even good enough to play in the league.
I've never been an AR fan, but I will give credit where it's due, she's worked at improving other areas of her game like assists and has been more effective at that.

I’m not sure if any Hawkeye fans were actively cheering against the Pacers or not. If any were mocking Tyrese for one 0-6 shooting game in finals while playing with career threatening injury…let’s hope they are as ruthless to CC through this stretch with what’s likely/hopefully a more minor injury. I like them both, it’s obvious these injuries can affect shooting far more than even informed fans realize.

Hard to say if her injuries are partly to blame for CC's shooting woes, but I did see this a few days ago and thought it was interesting...

Did they squeeze the extra games into same length of season rather than lengthen season?

NO she is a very good shooter at times but not the greatest yet. Time will tell but right now what I feared would happen has. She keeps getting hurt ( and before I see "it is because she gets guarded hard) which I thought would happen. She gets what all really good players get, physical play so you have to get in the best shape to be able to take that kind of play.

Nothing wrong with mebounds. Seems like Moses Malone and Karl Malone were praised for their mebounds. Back then it was considered an effort or hustle play.

I realize you aren't being overtly negative about Reece's "mebounds". But I've had a few conversations with Clark fans whose main point why Reece is a bad player is her % of baskets made on getting her own offensive rebound.
All you have to do is watch Reese to realize she is well below most other player so all the basics on offense. Her game looked a hell of a lot better in HS. She lost her bounce after injuries and watching her now is pretty painful.

They had a month off in the middle of last season so I don’t think so. 44 games over 4 months is way better then what the NBA players get anyway

Clark has always been a decent high volume shooter. Her main thing is her ability to hit from super deep. However, I have not seen her play much other than highlights so I am not sure how many she hits from that distance. Her shooting numbers since her freshman year of college suggest she is not that great of a shooter. She isn't Seth for sure. She does have a huge problem turning the ball over. She averages almost 6 a game right now.

yeah, as an NBA fan the back to backs don't surprise me at all but for college mens and womens it might seem surprising, from what little i know of WNBA it was pretty comparable to a college season before and now it's inching in NBA season direction but still way closer to college schedule.

I could have used a Mebound shirt in college. Not for basketball purposes, but I was ALWAYS on the Mebound in the bar scene (I was turned down so much, I turned myself down and thus was on the MEBOUND).

Angel is for the people. Mebound is just so much more relatable than Logo 3 on every level.
