First gig I ever played was with 30+ other bands in an open field outside of Rice Lake, Wisconsin. Bongzilla headlined, and they were amazing as I was expecting. This is one of my favorite albums of all time and the artwork is bad to the bone!

Come again? Since the pandemic, I've been deep in the doom/stoner metal rabbit hole. I'll post some of my favorite album covers in a second, but I firmly believe that genre has the best album covers of any genre.

When I was in college in the early 80's, the Residence Hall administration decided to provide paint for us to customize the walls outside our rooms.

My roommate did a great job of painting this Boston album cover. It was awesome to see this wall-size!

Boston, Journey, and Asia all always had great album art. I think it was in the 2010's before I recognized that Boston's space ships were guitars on that album.

Imagine seeing these album covers in your dad's vinyl collection and thinking, "Oh, boy I bet these guys are HEAVY METAL."

Good tunes, but- false advertising.
