I think people still call it circle today. Maybe it's just because I'm from a family of South side lifers who went there.

My family still called it that when I was growing up, but I didn't think people still did.

Chicago De La Salle High School has some notable alumni, such as both Richard Daley's (Chicago mayors for 40+ years), Dan Ryan (for which the major north/south expressway in Chicago is named), and Bryant and Greg Gumble (sportscasters).
