I'm having mine done tomorrow, anyone else had it done before? What should I expect?

You will need lots and lots of frozen peas.... Oh, wait.... That's for a different procedure.....

Don't skimp on rehab, do what they tell you exactly as they tell you exactly when they tell you and you will be much better off.

How old are you? Age can be a ***** on recovery.

LISTEN TO YOUR PHYSICAL THERAPIST.

That's all.

This I have had wrist surgery and back surgery. Didn't really do the PT on my wrist I should have and its slightly better than before surgery. Can't wait for Arthritis!! As far as my back goes I was much better it only rarely gets out of place anymore but still not perfect.

Like they said do the PT!

I am having surgery the 28th to do a total reconstruction of ACL and fix my meniscus. What type of graft are you doing? I am going to do the Patellar Tendon graft. From what I have read the first couple days after can be pretty rough. Sports surgeon told me crutches 4-6 weeks with a 6-9 month return to sports recovery.

They're doing the hamstring for me. I think I was told 6 weeks with the brace on, crutches gone whenever I can, and 3-6 months recovery for sports.

Same thing with my wrist. I had surgery back in August, didn't really take the rehab all that seriously and now I'm back at PT again.

Do as your therapist says and you should be fine. The first month or two will be a ***** but you'll be better off in the long run.

The thought of surgery scares the **** out of me at this point. I've never even had an IV put in me before so tomorrow will be lots of firsts. Have to be at the center at 6am..
