Someone asked in another thread if we have any connection to Ado. Rep points to whoever can dig up the scoop (if there is one).

He's good at basketball, Iowa St wants good basketball players.

Extending an offer doesn't mean much will materialize regardless of connection. Maybe there's no connection but the staff loves his game and wants to at least get a sense of his interest. Saying that we are moving in a different direction doesn't mean they completely avoid an offer to a guy that fits Fred's eye.

I hope there's a connection...a strong one.

Hines said we were finished recruiting high level guys we do not have some sort of connection with which means there must be a connection of some kind here.

He also made it pretty clear those were just guesses. It's possible the staff just isn't done going after these top tier guys.

This. Everyone needs to stop looking for or assuming a connection every time we recruit a good player. We're not the hawkeyes.

Of course we are going to offer these top tier players. How else will we compete with Kentucky, Duke, Michigan State, and the likes? They all have teams as solid as us AND they have one or two or a million of them in UK's case.
