Whats up with all of those weird hand motions and body motions they do?!? They showed a brief clip on the tv yesterday and I was not only disturbed, but also confused on wtf they were doing.. Thank God that is never going to happen in Jack Trice Stadium again.
I saw some serious jazz hands from those yell leaders...pretty sure that's not all they're used for.
Otherwise, their fanbase seemed to be pretty respectable.

I just saw a replay of the beginning of the game. What is the deal with these guys... something seems off. Very strange. :goofy:

I heard a lot of chat on here in the past about how lame they are/were. For some reason I just figured it was a "guys doing a chick job" jab at their tradition and didn't think much about it, really.
And, I'd really never experienced it prior to yesterday.
Sitting in the upper deck, right above them, it was just SO ridiculous. I couldn't help myself laughing at their little prayer hands back and forth and even a little Saturday Night Fever finger pointing.
The guy next to me didn't know they were A&M. You could see the relief on his face when the lady on the other side explained they weren't ISU representatives, but from A&M.
Still, we gotta get rid of that Macho Man flex bit. Lose the sponsor if you have to. That was embarrassing from a Cyclone backer prospective.

I didn't get to make this game but when I saw them on the t.v. and they showed them in a 'bar' the night before in downtown Des Moines, I nearly soiled myself at how awfully ridiculous they are. I had been to the last a$m game in Ames, but was far enough away from them that I didn't notice them...but this time it was kind of - NO REALLY CREEPY! I believe that one camera guy was having a little bit of a man crush on them because I don't remember seeing the ISU cheerleaders too often. No wonder they like the mason jars so much....
Just so freakin weird... I just don't get it.
