My garage is a complete cluttered mess. Currently I can't get my truck inside. Been that way almost a year now. I have some of my brothers stuff in there that I was going to bring to him in August when his son got married. Due to Covid that has been postponed until next July

We have a spacious 3 car garage that also has a pull down ladder to some storage space in the attic above it too. Don't plan on moving from this house for a long time but if we ever do unless there is a decent shed on the property I don't know how I can live without that 3rd stall which is essentially my shed. I will say that my garage is usually a big unorganized but I do clean out and re-organize it twice a year when I shuffle things around for summer and winter. One of the previous owners did a great job building some really sturdy wood shelving and work bench along the back wall while still allowing enough space to get 2 cars parked in without being cramped.

So what I have in my garage is I keep both trash and recycle carts inside in front of 1 car while there is a single shelf above that. Have our stand up deep freezer in front of that stall as well. the next stall there is a tall set of wooden shelves I store tools and supplies on then to the left of that is a work bench with an overhead shelving unit. the top shelf extends all the way across to the 3rd stall and along part of the side wall of the 3rd stall when it makes an L for about 5 or 6 feet too. In the 3rd stall have my lawn mower, snow blower, garden tiller, bunch of kids outdoor stuff, garden tools and supplies, grill, and some misc items then in the fall I reshuffle it so I can store my patio furniture inside. The 3rd stall I get pretty organized then it just becomes a big mess between organization efforts as I take things in and out. In the garage attic I store all my Christmas decorations and lights and anything I rarely ever use. If I didn't have that 3rd stall I would have built a shed by now because we wouldn't be able to park the cars inside if we didn't. My last house was just a 1 car garage but had a good sized shed in the back yard but have also accumulated more stuff since then too.

Just make sure you bleed the lines on the power washer or bring it inside before it freezes, that can do a lot of internal damage.

Yeah, I just bought it after years of wishing I had one. I'm planning on taking care of that sucker. I'm going to move it inside for the winter.

We moved from a house we raised our kids in with a standard 2 car garage. It was always cramped. To a house with an oversized 2 car garage.... with a matching garage under it. Best use of space ever. The under is my workshop and storage for lawn gear. Friends come visit and can't believe it.

I have enough room to get one vehicle in. My kids outdoor toys have really taken it over. You put a couple of those Powerwheel things in there, plus your typical mower, snowblower, etc. and you run out of room quick.

I'd really like to do an epoxy finish for the floor, but I'm not sure how difficult it would be.

I tried the Rustoleum flooring stuff and hated it. It was like a skating rink once you tracked in rain or snow. I ended up going with a roll of diamond pattern flooring and would highly recommend it. It cleans easily and looks nice. I got mine at Costco, but several places sell a variety of it.

We have a two-car garage, and it easily fits both of our cars (a smaller SUV and a good sized sedan). We also have metal shelving for seasonal items, a few bins for cans/bottles, our trash can and recycle bin, and some shovels and ice melt. There are a few other miscellaneous things, but I went without a garage for so long that I now consider it a luxury I plan to utilize at every turn. We don't have kids (yet), but I suspect when we do, some more items will be added.

how much of the aggregate did you add? that can make a huge difference in the traction provided. I should have added a bunch more then I did when I painted the flooring on my utility trailer.

Does it cover your entire floor or just under the cars and whatnot?

We have one but I dont get why more people dont get sheds? They're cheap and all your lawn crap can go in there.

Our HOA won't allow a free-standing shed (which is ridiculous). That was why I had to manipulate an under-deck storage area. I think several HOAs are similar.

I've already told my wife that a three car garage is mandatory for our next house. The two-car garage has easily been the least favorite thing about my house.

We have a 3 car, technically it's a 2 car with a third attached. The 2 car side is really oversized, you can get 3 cars, UTV and riding mower in there plus a large work bench and some storage. That side is pretty clean and organized (thanks to my wife), the 3rd stall is all of my crap, it's a disheveled mess that is organized in constantly moving stacks. We are lucky to also have tons of indoor storage so in the garage its really just tools, stuff to work on the yard/gardening etc...

In my neighborhood, there is a mix of 2 and 3 car garages. Most people with 2 car garages are forced to keep the garage pretty clean. It seems like 1/2 the people with 3 car garages just have the their 3rd stall completely loaded with crap. I just wish our association/city would stop people from parking in the street long term. Even if you don't have garage space, you do have a driveway.

Built this bad boy during quarantine. Sits between the stalls. I needed something to save space and this will hold the snowblower on top it 8-9 months out of the year. Then I’ll flip the mower and power washer.

Three-stall garage, normally clean enough to get all three cars in. Then FIL offered up his snowblower and I borrowed a yard tiller. Those, along with mower and bags of clothing to be donated and a large clutter of landscaping remnants, have overtaken the third stall.

And now I guess I know what I'm doing this weekend.

small two-car garage. we still find a way to fit both cars in, but it is tight. If we can't fit both cars in the garage, we have to get rid of stuff or re-organize.

I probably did not add enough either, but it also started to flake off within a year. I had cleaned the floor really well beforehand to remove any previous spots as well. I had a friend that had similar issues and he added a lot more aggregate than I did. Maybe it works for some, but I came away pretty unimpressed.

I put it over my entire floor just to give it a cleaner look. It was a bit of a pain to make some of the cuts since I have a stupid pole in the middle of my garage.

One thing I'll absolutely look for in a new house is one, large garage door as opposed to two stalls. Ours now has two separate garage doors with a divider in between and I hate it.
