*** 2026 NFL Draft Thread ***

Didn't check but I saw someone say BYU still had zero picked. Pretty impressive scheming. Or maybe lots of young guys.
Didn't seem like we had a lot of draft worthy guys this year. We were on the younger side, and then I think a guy who could've declared early got hurt and then transferred (Jontez). Sadly, our junior/rs junior class guys with pro prospects are all Nittany Lions now. Curious to find out who our new crop of potential NFL guys are going to be.

Isaac Terrell in later rounds is the only one that really stands out to me for next year.

Have to think Awls probably would have been on somebody's board. I heard Raynor in a recent interview say that he has aspirations to play in the NFL. Seems like he'd have to have a pretty nice prove it year for us to get to that point. Even still, his measurables don't jump out at you. I do think it's possible, but also being very optimistic.

Even Terrell I’m really just guessing. He was productive last year and had a great game against Ole Miss. If he has another nice year I can see it. Agree on Awls.

Me. ISU played a defense that limited defensive lineman’s impact on the game. You could clearly see Onyedim was being held back in the system. That’s not a knock on the defensive strategy either. Their job was to contain and hold blocks and Heacock designed it to perfection.
His stats this year were almost identical to 2023 at ISU. I get what you're saying though. And A&M is kind of an elite school for d-linemen.

I think the next year there would have been a couple more guys drafted. Brahmer for sure, and I think Cooper would have been a middle round pick. Maybe Bacon in the later rounds.

Jontez certainly would have been a 1st-3rd rounder too, but given he didn’t follow Campbell to PSU, I’m not sure we would have been able to retain him this year even if Campbell had stayed.

Wetjen at 121 is wild. He does one thing well. Figured he'd go 6-7 round or even UDFA. He must be thought of to be that elite on ST. This pick is the result of decades of Ferentz proving it, and Big 10 bias.
He’s an elite PR/KR. There’s also probably a thought that he could be useful on offense and was limited by the offense and QB. Look at Kene Nwangwu. He wasn’t even a PR, which is 1000x more important than KR. He was a great KR, which barely matters, and an OK RB.

Being able to return kicks and punts and flip the field can be huge. I was hoping KC would take him in the 6th. The guy has a unique skill set, and is very good at it.

Iowa State has as many picks in the first three rounds as Sark. That is wild.

That Nigerian DT the Eagles got in round 7 could end up being a total badass. 4.63 40 time and a 39" vertical at 304 lbs is insane. Just needs a couple years to develop. They also got the Texas Tech safety in round 7. That kid can play.

Next year is gonna be a rough draft for us to watch with several former Cyclones getting their names called but with other schools attached to their names. Ugh.

Plenty of incoming seniors though. Always possible to get a couple breakout candidates.
