MLB: ***2026 MLB Season Thread***

So who you got that's hot? As a Yank fan I've obviously got Aaron Judge with his million homers and RBI.

Watched Yanks/Blue Jays. Hadn't realized how hot Vlad Jr. has been. Looked earlier in the year and he seemed to be in a bit of a HR/power drought but man has he roared back. Close to .400 over his last 30 games and insanely hot his last 15 games.

White Sox have made it to 20. Will they break the record? Next 3 @ A's and then 2 vs. Cubs.

Man…I know Reinsdorf is hated in Chicago, but could that guy have picked a worse time to lobby for a new stadium (with public money, obviously)? Not only the same time as the Bears, who are much more popular, but when the White Sox are also god awful? Either the guy is set on moving or he is really that dense.

Baseball broadcast teams mini rant.

Okay, a lot of them really suck but I have a pet peeve about how they sometimes talk about pitchers. "Have to admire his growth as a pitcher in how he can't get his main pitch going tonight so he's going with his slider" or something like that. 9 times out of 10 the guys in the booth ignore the catcher who is calling the game and determining the pitch and location and it's a battery and a team on those pitches. They will note that the catcher is a good "framer" and things like that but rarely mention they are calling the pitches. They talk about catchers defense and hitting but ignore them really being the pitch to pitch game manager.

Jackson Chourio. Over the last 30 games he has batted .339 (raising his overall BA to .275). As a Brewers fan, we really needed someone to step up after Yelich - who had been in prime form this year - went on the IL AGAIN,

Essentially a dead heat for best record in MLB. All of these teams have had issues.

Week later and looks similar. Twins Royals and others right behind. although I don’t trust the twins with all their injuries right now.

Pretty ridiculous:

Only Bobby Witt Jr. and his .350 (wow!) is keeping Judge from a huge triple crown. Two guys hitting .330+ while only six other players in MLB even hitting .300. Judge's HR/RBI numbers would be great at .260 but he's hitting .330 something.
