MLB: ***2026 MLB Season Thread***

Today, my Brewers used their 13th different starting pitcher of this season. They were able to get the sweep & now have a 6.5 game lead (KNOCK ON WOOD!!) in the NL Central. I only was familiar with two of their current starters before the season (Rea and Peralta) - but, dang, the pitching staff continues to get it done & our offense is WAY better than it has been during the past 5 years! I thought losing Counsell (& Woodruff and Burnes) would mean that this year would be a total rebuild. Have been pleasantly surprised & appreciate the incredibly positive influence Murphy has on this team. There is still A LOT of baseball to be played - but I am more than happy at the moment!

Yanks continue to auger in.

MLB best ERA for starters in May. Next to last in starter ERA in June. Woof.

Not Aaron Judge's fault. .322 BA 32 HR 83 RBI .440 OPS and it's not even the All-Star break yet. Those would be pretty good end of the season numbers.

Headed to the Waterloo Bucks game tonight with little JM. Any other Northwoods League baseball degenerates in here?

Michael Kopech threw the White Sox second EVER immaculate inning in game 1 today. The only other immaculate inning in White Sox history occurred in 1923! Amazing...for as long as the White Sox have been around it is incredible that it is only the second time that a White Sox pitcher has thrown an immaculate inning. I get that it is a rare thing to pull off for a pitcher...didn't realize it was that rare!
