Cease got through 8 with 115 pitches. Looks like he's going to start the 9th. Jays up 9-0.

The AL is trash this year, still only 6 teams above .500. Yankees will probably still make the playoffs short of a Mets-like implosion.

Only the overall weakness of the bottom 2/3 of the AL gives the Yanks a shot at a WC. This is a historic collapse and I fully expect them to completely auger in this month. I think they are done and there is no coming back from it.

I only watch when Schlittler is pitching and maybe if Cole is pitching. Maybe the only two guys that seem angry about the play and are competing their asses off to win. Everyone else is phoning it in, going through the motions or are just lost causes. Meanwhile the enabling manager gets mad at the refs and gets tossed last night. He should be mad at the players rather than coddling them and making excuses for them everyday in every interview. It will take more than an obviously scripted ejection from a game to right this ship.
