MLB: ***2026 MLB Season Thread***

Reds are so bad lol Mets would have definitely given the Dodgers a better series likely. Somehow the Mets fell apart.

The Angels had two generational superstars on the same team and couldn't make the playoffs. At least Ohtani left to play for a contender.

Mike Trout was 1st or 2nd in MVP voting for 7 straight years, but only made one playoff appearance.

I had gotten used to Boston owning the Yanks in the postseason. Rookie Cam Schittler had other ideas and pitched 8 shutout innings with 12 strikeouts and no walks. He started the season in AA and is only on the roster because Clarke Schmidt blew up his elbow and was an emergency call up. Guess he's here to stay.

Traditional celebratory sax short:

And in that series they were swept 3-0 by the Royals. Angels were the 1 seed.

I kinda hate that I have to go through the postseason based on who I want to lose, instead of rooting for somebody because I want them to win.

I really do not care for the Yankees, Dodgers, or Cubs. I have no strong feelings about the Blue Jays or Mariners (although Cal Raleigh is awesome). I can sorta root for the Tigers, Brewers, and Phillies, but it’s not like I’m really a fan of those teams.

Gives me some juice in rooting against those guys, but it’d be more joyful if I had more of a reason to root for somebody, you know?

Just random thoughts as the Dodgers try to catch up to the Phillies tonight.

Agree. Hoping for a Tigers/Brewers WS.
