***2026 Minnesota Vikings***

I’m going out on a limb and say the bears are completely irrelevant in the division standings. That is a bad football team.
Oh I agree. But I thought the division race would come down to GB and Detroit this season.

One foot in front of the other at this point. Go out and get a win this weekend, and hope the Bills hand Green Bay another L.

With some luck, those last two games won't matter.

Without straining too hard, there are enough wins on the schedule to shut them all out. In any event, beat those teams again and its done.

Hopefully they keep expanding the O to make it a bit more dynamic and win a few going away. D keeps getting more solid too.

Any bets on whether Mattison gets traded? I can see both sides of the argument, but I feel like the risk is worth it if they could get another CB. If (when?) they make the playoffs, I feel like their defense is going to get shredded.

A few reports out there about the Vikings looking to add a WR for a draft pick. Chase Claypool and Brandin Cooks have gotten mentioned.

Those guys are very different. Claypool is more interesting to me as a big body target. Thielen is skilled at playing a lot of slot and JJ and Claypool can go outside.

Just gotta make sure Claypool won’t do this:

I still don't think WR is the place they need to look at first. Or even second.

Love the old Fran footage. Guy was amazing. Look at the all time yardage list, he was before his time!

Vikings need more firepower at WR if they think they can make a run this winter. But trading a high pick for a WR who will want a new contract at the same time as Jets seems like bad cap management..

If this rumor is true, I think it signals the FO is going all-in on making a run. NFC is pretty weak this year. #2 seed is within reach! But the schedule is pretty challenging after Washington.

Challenging? Obviously the Bills is tough. Cowboys, maybe (I hate the cowboys so no). Jets, maybe. Giants maybe. The packers are the packers. They should go 7-4 over the remainder at an absolute minimum.

Interesting idea. Not sold but interested

Either Jeudy or Claypool would be my top choice. Theilen clearly has lost a step, and while he's still a solid target, especially in the red zone, having another weapon to take pressure off of Jefferson would really open up the offense. That said, I understand if they don't make any moves at all. The cap situation doesn't give them a ton of flexibility. They'd probably need to convert someone's salary to a bonus to make room.

More firepower makes little sense if the defense gets shredded anyway. The secondary was super sketchy coming into the season, and with both high drafts picks on the shelf, it hasn't gotten any better.

I don't see how you can ignore the need for a CB. The offense, while inconsistent, can still put up points. The defense hasn't exactly been stopping anyone.

I don't disagree but at some point its about what is actually available. If you can't get anyone on D you think will move the needle, scoring another TD a game or so would also be nice.

MN is 13th in scoring, 3 PPG from moving into the top 5. Adding another really good WR will go a lot farther than plugging 1 hole on a bad defense. We are 30/32 in defensive yards/play..

10th hardest in the league following the bye. Bills, Cowboys, Jets, and Giants are a combined 21-6.

Pats, Colts, and GB have all underperformed their power ratings.

We all know what happened last year in Detroit.. And what is Minnesota's record in Chicago the past decade?
