***2026 Minnesota Vikings***

The offense position by position:

QB: Maybe the worst room in the league
RB: Jones always dinged up, Mason average
WR: Two elite talents who seem genuinely surprised when they have the chance to catch a ball, leading to some untimely drops
TE: Hock has been alright, but not sure he’s worth what he’s presently being paid
OL: Can’t stay healthy

Other than that, things are rosy.
MAYBE the worst qb room in the league?
I think the Vikings own that.

Absolutely agree. JJM was his hand picked guy. And he had the final say in not making sure Jones or Darnold resigned. It is an unmitigated disaster. This stuff gets coaches and GMs fired. I expect that will happen with these two as well.
Agree there needs to be accountability from both. Drafting McCarthy is one thing but running off Jones and Darnold without really seeing McCarthy in action seems reckless. Especially how. Makes you wonder what they see in practice that is a complete 180 from what we see on Sunday.

I’m guessing “Nine” doesn’t do practice, but he’s the one who shows up for the games

His alter ego thing is cheesey as ****. Dude is all-time terrible - needs to keep his head down and shut the **** up. The social media activity lately shows a ton of immaturity. I would cut bait ASAP if I’m the Vikings. It would be one thing if he handled these struggles with humility and maturity but he’s clearly not cut out for this.

Dude has had maybe 2 good quarters of football since he’s been in the league and he’s talking about “feeding the wolf” (speaking about himself). What a ******* weirdo.

The Goofer lovers telling everybody that Brosmer was going to surprise… I appreciate trying to call your shot, but no.

What’s amazing is watching a few of these career backups in the league and seeing they aren’t taking their teams anywhere while also seeing that the Vikings duo has a LONG way to go to be even close to as competent as those backups.

Maybe he sees defensive backs as the wolf and they need to be fed footballs. :jimlad: (kind of)

Pretty sure Kwesi is getting bonus $ from the Bears, Packers and Lions.

It stinks for us fans and the poor WRs but at least the dopes who thought Max was the answer can sit back down. This problem isn't going away, unfortunately.

I'm not even sure where to go from here. They're supposed to be competing right now. This was the window they aimed for. Clearly not gonna happen this or next season. Not enough cap room to hire an expensive new QB (and you explicitly need one that fits KOC's offense -- a deep ball guy). Very little on the roster that you can trade away without causing major damage to production.

I suppose the lynchpin is Jefferson. If he wants out, let me go for an absolutely massive trade haul, then send away everyone else with him and start over. If he wants to stay, great, but he has to sit a few more seasons waiting for a slower rebuild then. I don't think he will want to do that, right now is his time to be #1.

If you go the full rebuild route, you might as well can KAM too. You need to hit and hit and hit on drafts and he hasn't shown to do that in large enough numbers to facilitate a blowup.

This is what confuses me the most. Everyone says that KOC needs a deep ball guy in his offense. The scouting report on JJM coming into the league certainly left questions in that regard.

JJM had decent play action experience, which is frequently how KOC strings up these mid and deep throws so often. My guess is they saw that toolkit and believed they could fix the throwing skills themselves.

Seems likely. He's got the tools to be a big time thrower, probably thought they could fix some of the mechanical issues. Unfortunately, even if they could, he's not available enough to get the work in due to all the injuries, Guessing we see a bridge guy like a Mac Jones or Gardner Minshew next year and possibly take another QB early. At this point, lose out and hope that group ahead sneaks in a few wins. As high as 5th in the draft is still on the table.

With the cross-division NFL schedules being based on finish in the division, we should have a much more favorable schedule next season for the bounce back.

I have a co-worker who is a big gopher fan and he been telling me that Brosmer is the next Purdy. I haven't talked to him at work yet but I'm tempted to ask him what he thought of the game.

I've been a KOC defender up until this game, but now I almost think the vikings need to move on Kwesi and maybe KOC. I can be talked into letting KOC get another chance with a better QB, but I'm questioning how KOC let the QB room get in this situation. What did JJ show that made the team/KOC decide he was the future? 5 years with no playoff wins and it looks like we need to blow everything up.
