***2026 Minnesota Vikings***

I’m going out and saying the biggest regret this front office made was not signing Aaron Rodgers for 1 year. The team to start the season was ready to win NOW. Things could have started and been much different. Rodgers literally was waiting on Minnesota to make a decision. He held out for the Vikes for like two months before finally signing with Pittsburgh. What could have been.
Sharon on IR is what could have been.

Again, Bears fan.

Grew up watching "Sir Francis," Carl Eller, Jim Marshall, Allan Page, Paul Krause, Hillgenburg, Siemens, Freddie Cox, Dave Osborn, Gene Washington, Bill Brown, Chuck Foreman...and yeah, Matt Blair, etc, etc, etc... Toss in "Stoneface" (Bud Grant).
Hated yawl, but damn... what an organization.

Yeah, I remember Tark running around in the backfield and finally throwing a screen pass on the one yard line against The Bears. Announcers went nuts because nobody threw a one yard screen pass back in the day. Was before the AFL opened things up with the pass. Fran was a small guy too.

Doesn’t really matter who the QB is with this turnstile offensive line. Just setting McCarthy up for failure.
Which is why we need to make a trade for a lineman. Not to necessarily help us make playoffs, but to help McCarthy not end up like Wentz which is basically on his deathbed. If McCarthy ends up like Wentz over the next 4 weeks the wheels are absolutely going to fall off everywhere. Including McCarthys confidence.

I'm confused about the OL being so bad. I thought they went out and signed a couple seasoned vets in the offseason, and took a guy in the first round to help out there. I know Darrisaw was out the first few games, but that was back when they were actually winning. Very confusing.

Well one of the guys they signed has had roughly 37 concussions, and shockingly, got another concussion. His career is probably over. Good use of money.
O'Neil is a walking injury now, and honestly has not been great when he is in. Fries has been decent. The rookie Jackson was hurt a bit but has shown promise. And Darrisaw still isn't playing full games. It is a dumpster fire. The bigger issue is we have ZERO depth because we have drafted so poorly.

Last night was the first time I have seriously questioned KOC. This team is undisciplined, has awful execution, the play calling is terrible - there have been no adjustments made to help our beat up line, and the effort has frankly been bad. He is in dangerous territory of losing the locker room.
Kwesi needs to be fired. The biggest problem they have is no depth, because Kwesi has drafted SO poorly. And the handling of the QB situation is a fireable offense. The McCarthy or nothing attitude going into this season lost them Darnold, Jones, Rodgers (who wanted to be there), and got them stuck with Wentz. Total botch. That's the stuff that gets coaches and GMs fired....

If Rodger’s had to run for his life on the Jets, this would have been worse.

If I'm McCarthy, I milk that ankle injury for as long as I can. With this offensive live, and being a new dad, McCarthy might come home in a body bag.

1000% this. Kwesi is a draft day disaster. His trades have not been good either.

Darrisaw has struggled. Probably not healthy yet and also being left on an island a lot because the rest of the OL is so bad.

I think they just decided to punt this game with a half bye week this week. Darrisaw played 7 snaps, hopefully the additional rest for him and O'neill means that they are both back for Detroit.

So we gave Daniel Jones some mental therapy and then didn't even consider him for the future because of JJ ******* McCarthy?

So damned sad.

Vikings offered more than Indy. I think it was clear the Vikings were going to give JJ the starting position, so Jones went where he thought he could compete for the starting gig. Good for him.

This was always going to happen. With the money like it is now, you're best path to winning is finding the young guy so you can pay everywhere else. Once they draft them, they have to see what they have and the Vikes already lost a year. Darnold was terrible when it mattered and as much as KOC might have liked Danny, he saw no action.

Since the Vikings drafted McCarthy, they have played 25 games. McCarthy has played in less than 2 of those games. The injury pedigree is quite strong in him. I'm getting the sinking feeling this will be his MO. Hope I'm wrong.
