I'll give JJM credit for one thing, complaints about his arm strength were unfounded. He has a cannon when he wants to use it -- a couple of these balls had zip.

Why the **** did they barely play McCarthy in the preseason? That was one of the dumbest moves I've ever heard of. "Hey, this guy has never played before, let's give him zero opportunity to work his way into the job and instead let's just throw him out there in Chicago on Monday night football". Zero chemistry with the offense at all.

Bought my 1 yo son his first McCarthy jersey prior to the season. Feeling pretty OK about that decision all of a sudden
Now imagine if they had played him in the preseason....
That was like worst case for the defense. Criminal to let the bears score in less than 1 min
Not a bad 4th quarter by JJ. He’ll only get better.
