I got to watch Walker Jenkins play for the CR Kernels tonight. The team kinda stunk it up in a 6-1 loss. Maybe it was just tonight, but he seemed impatient at the plate and a couple ABs he popped up weakly on the first pitch. He did make an impressive catch in center though. Hopefully he plays the remainder of the season in CR, so I can catch a few more games with him.
Thanks for the heads up on this. Do they want to send him to Wichita quickly? I may have to make a trip down as well.
I get the sense he’s the mini-GM in the locker room and FO. I don’t think anyone tells him what to do, he decides and does what he wants to.
Twins' Carlos Correa getting closer to return from foot injury
Carlos Correa, out since July 12 due to plantar fasciitis in his right foot, was jogging on the field Saturday and said he is getting closer to a return.
I don't know for sure, but given it's already the second half of the season and he started the year in the rookie league, I hope he's with the Kernels for the rest of the year. Starting next season in Wichita seems likely.
I’m not even sure that pitch was a strike. How are they supposed to pitch to him if he’s gonna take stuff like that oppo?
Quickly have picked up two games on the Guardians in less than 24 hours, and the White Sox losing streak hits 20.

Cleveland has just happened to play the Sox when they were hot, or at least luke warm.
Unfortunately the flipside of that is the Twins are only 50-47 against everyone else. Need to show something more than that.
