Well at least it's not against the Yankees so Twins should be able to finally at least win a game or maybe even the series.
There is a nice video on YT which goes in depth at the probability of the 18 game losing streak. They went in depth and examined the win probability at any given point in each game. Some games had over a 90% change of winning. When he multiplied the numbers together, he came up with 69,000,000,000 in 1
He admitted he was using a method that best served his point. But he then used the same method for other streaks, which all paled in comparison
I'm just going to say this as I am not a fan of the Twins at all. But you have to be pumped that the New York Yankees are nowhere in sight for these playoffs. It seems the Twins always get destroyed by the Yanks right away in the playoffs. So, that is at least a monkey off their back.
Twins need to treat this year like the Royals did in 14 and 15. Gotta hit their window for success now.
True - but the last time they were in the playoffs they faced Houston. Didn't fare any better...
It’s been over two decades. Us Twins fans are well beyond the point of manufacturing optimism.
I think the Twins match up well with Toronto. They couldn't have asked for a better team to start out with in the Playoffs IMO.
Looking like Buxton will not make the roster vs. the Jays? Correa and Lewis will, as expected.
