***2026 ISU Volleyball Thread***

I saw that Nayeli G was in uniform on the sidelines. Maybe we’ll see her on the court soon?
I saw her also on the sideline at Illinois and am hoping the same. This team has a bunch of athletes but NG’s arm talent is another level.

If the team keeps playing well in the 6-2, going to be very difficult to find a spot for her in the current 9-player rotation, especially if Jackson keeps playing as well as she has in her new RS role. And Jackson is who she would likely replace as front row only.

The injuries certainly didn’t help last year, but transfer additions and Goolsby have really lit a fire with this squad. Martin is a pleasant surprise and moving to a 6-2 seems to be the ticket to get all our hitters on the floor.

Ti’a has made a fun impact as well.

I hope they can work Lilly back into the rotation at some point.

Agree she has a heavy arm and hits a decent clip, but too many errors. Main reason I see her on the bench is blocking- 7th on the team and much much lower than a 5-8 Duckworth.

Jackson on the RS was genius- gives us good size, a better block, and man can she hit a slide.

The shift to the 6-2 allows more hitters and blockers on the front row. With so many Thursday/ Saturday matches, this should allow more hitters on the Thursday and rotate out others for Saturday. Make full use of the team and keep the players fresh. Reverse sweeps, will take a toll like we saw last year.

For all the positives from the Utah reverse sweep, BYU sweep hurt a bit. There were a few lineups the Cyclones didn’t have answers for. The passing was just a little off all game, couldn’t tell if it what BYU was doing or the ladies were just a fraction early/late. Seeing Lilly hit into the block 3 straight times in that last set was a bit of a gut punch.

Ah least they get to come home, get some rest wand then take out the frustrations on TT.

BYU had a 11-2 block advantage as the block issues popped up again after blocking well vs UU and Illinois.

ISU really had a good chance to win Set 3 (lost 26-24) but their outstanding FR, Suli Davis, made a helluva save at the end of that set that swung that set to BYU's favor. If ISU wins that set, who knows what happens after that especially given what happened THU vs UU.
