2026 crop year

I see the DOJ is going after the big fertilizer companies. I wonder how long that investigation will last? A week? Probably won’t do anything as usual.
Just as long as the investigations go into the packing companies. Not a f*cking thing will be done. Doesn't matter the administration the bribes always get paid, and they will sure as hell get paid now.

3 16's behind a JD 3020 gas and a 770 Oliver diesel. Beat your brother off the bus and into work clothes and you could snag the Deere with the heat Houser.
Damn I thought i was the only one that got to use the heat houser. Still have one hanging in the machine shed that will fit a MF 1130. not sure of the condition don't think it's been on in a decade.

Them youngins don’t know about cultivating corn at 1.5 mph with a cabless tractor or plowing when it’s 30 degrees out with a 4440 and having to have your head at 120 degrees to get your toes to 45 since the heat came out of the top of the cab.
My dad enjoyed his Farmall 560 as long as it had a radio that could play Pete Taylor. He said that was a big improvement over two Percheons when he was a kid.

Our neighbor had that set up was it the all weather radio mounted on the fender or did he have a weatherall cab with a radio in it? Neighbors radio was clear as a bell in our yard. There is a reason most old farmers suffered hearing loss. Tractors got bigger, open station for the operators and very few wore hearing protection back in the day. Grinding feed, chopping silage, tillage, planting etc very few used hearing protection lot of decibels for extended periods of time.

Dad had me cultivating in a Ford 5000. What a piece of junk.

if you guys don't start posting photos of the tractors or ones like it..... im gonna get pissed!

During high school, I learned my serious work in the fields using a 7045 that my dad bought new in 1978. We had it for about 15 years and used it to grind a lot of corn during its golden years. I remember it had an 8-track player with a Faron Young tape stuck in it. I can probably sing "Hello Walls - How things go today" by memory still! LOL.

Somewhere in the attic, I have this pewter belt buckle and keychain in it’s original box that was gifted (ha ha — we.paid for it) when we purchased a John Deere 8640 in 1976. A few years later, we purchased a second used one because our equipment (chisel plow, field cultivator, tandem disc, were all upgraded size wise. Did a ton of custom anhydrous application for the local co-op. Lots of horsepower for one farm 50 years ago.
Edited: wife dug out the original!
