1:30 pm on Saturday. We have Noel, Higgins, Porter and Travis all playing. Sounds like Noel and Higgins are tearing it up, with a lot of buzz around Noel being the WR there.

I wouldn't hate seeing Purdy throw to Noel or Higgins on Sundays...

The "experts," have proven, time n time n time again, to be anything but, to the point o CLOWNISH, despite big paychecks.

I don’t know…they’re right more often than they’re wrong. It’s just that they’re not always right. You don’t see the Purdy story very often.

The guys identified as top talent coming out of high school by the experts are generally regarded the same coming out of college. There's a whole hype industry there. But at draft time, teams can't afford to waste draft capital on hype. There's a ton of difference between the way sports media analyzes a draft and the way team execs do.

For sure. Guess I thought he was talking about NFL scouts being the "experts" and not media talking heads. Scouts are right way more often and don't really care that you were a 5 star that went to a blue blood.

We never find out what NFL scouts actually think until draft night. Everything before that, despite how it's sourced, is just media speculation.

Purdy is the perfect example. It doesn't matter how talented a player is if they go to a team that is not a good fit and I would say that Purdy went to the right team. He's a perfect fit for San Fran's offense. If he went to most of the other teams in the NFL, we probably wouldn't be talking about him right now. It makes me feel bad for some guys, like Trevor Lawrence, for example. Super talented and he's a likeable guy, but he went to a horrible team with bad coaching.
