The captain blaming is dumb. Use your eyes
It's a combination of both. I thought the EU had the better players going in and that's why I predicted they would win this thing by 2 pts. But with Keegan as captain... the EU might win this thing by 5+ pts in a beatdown. He's been a horrible captain.

Nothing like ruining the #1 player in the world by putting him out there every single match with someone that is playing horrible. By today... Scottie looked like he didn't care anymore and knew he was going to lose with Henley.

MacIntyre just summed it up perfectly by saying.... we don't play for ourselves... we play for our countries, our fans, our families, and for one another... we love one another. Yes... they are better players overall IMO... but they have the right mindset too going in.

I agree with about all of this. Henley has been god awful but who else do you throw out there? He's still the 3rd ranked golfer in the world. Fact is that almost all of their guys have been incredible and almost all of our guys have been bad. Europe has made almost every clutch putt, every clutch save, and we've done the opposite. You could add 2 prime Tiger Woods to our team and we would still be getting spanked.

If I'm throwing out theories, I think the Americans care too much, and put too much pressure on themselves. If our guys play their normal game we're right in it.

And the EU is only going to play that much looser and more confidently now... while the U.S. will feel even more pressure.

IMO, the US team dynamic, energy, and focus are all very forced and the euros are very organic.

One thing that doesn’t always come into play but is always present is the Euro team will never feel as “country clubby” (read-privileged) as the American team.

You have to make putts and US isn’t when opportunity to get a point presents itself. Very disappointing so far!
