The announcers talked themselves into believing that the last review was about obstruction.

With a sinking liner to LF, the 3rd-base umpire has to turn away from 3B to make the catch/no-catch call. The throw coming in directly to 3rd instead of home catches the umpires in a rotation, where neither 3U (who had the LF play) nor PU (who had no chance to get there in time) are in position for a definitive look.
