Hasn’t been the best month for the SEC. Even though they won a basketball natty and could still win natties in baseball and softball, Sankey is struggling keeping up with the narrative, especially since the disaster they suffered in football and the PR hit they took in the spring meeting. Seeing their top two baseball teams and their softball queen bow out like they did was icing on the cake.

Look, I hate the SEC as much as anyone. But the SEC has dominated college baseball for the last 15-20 years. SEC teams have won 7 of the last 10 national titles, and 5 straight.

You can talk all you want about how the SEC has dominated college baseball over the last 15-20 years, and it's probably true. That doesn't change the fact that the SEC sent a record 13 teams to the CWS this year, and all but 4 of them have been eliminated in the first round, including the overall #1 seed. Which means you can talk about how dominant they have been in the fast, but that doesn't change that they were overrated as hell THIS YEAR.

Three 3-run homers for Carolina today (1st, 2nd, 8th), and it's now 17-2 in the bottom of the 8th.

Miami/Louisville pushed back to 2:30 CT (as of now, anyway) due to weather.

Louisville playing long ball, too. 3 homers in the first 3 innings, up 7-1.

Home win for Louisville (8-1) over Miami.

Oregon State plates 3 with 2 out in the bottom of the 9th to send their game with Florida State to extras.

LSU thumps West Virginia in Game 1, 16-9.

Tigers got all 16 runs in a three-inning span: 3 in the 4th, 7 in the 5th, 6 in the 6th.
