In that situation I assume they’d go
65 Caliendo, 74 Kennedy, 84 Arnold, 97 Ferrari. All winnable matches for them.
Agree, but if you move those guys all down a weight, they’re favored even more.

Making this move just makes Zerban/Paniro a strong favorite at 57. And then makes 84/97 questionable for them.

If they keep the lineup the way I originally said they’re strong favorites at 57-84 I think bumping them makes them worse. Don’t understand why they’d do that.

We’re going to be a favorite at 157 no matter what.

I don't necessarily disagree, I just think Tom loves to throw lineups out that are different from their expected lineup. I wouldn't be shocked if believe Ferrari could beat Elam (which sure, he could), and Estrada could sneak a win against Paniro or Zerban. So, then 157-197 they view themselves as favorites vs just 57-84.

I think it would be pretty foolish to think they’d be a favorite at 57. Maybe they think it gives them a shot at winning all 5, but a favorite?

But then again it also gives them a bigger chance of losing at 84 and 97.

Again, just don’t see how the odds of this move benefit them. If anything it benefits ISU. If they make that move there is a scenario they lose 57, 84, and 97. If they just keep the lineup as planned then the only match they’re likely to lose is 97.

184 - 12-14 Iowa
197 - 15-14 ISU
285 - 18-14

good guys break the streak.
as we are on an uptick this will a though competitive match for both side's and would love this outcome
we came close 2 years ago (14-18) but last year's match was not close despite the 21-15 - if not for the teemer injury that match is a 9 point swing to the bad side

Nobody knows what Iowa St will look like from 133-165 and nobody knows what Iowa will look like from 149-174. Talking about cyhawk at this point is just guessing.

Things are really starting to shape and I had to do this just to break it down for myself and see if ISU has a chance. I’m putting out both teams best lineup.

125 - Poulin Dec Peterson. Stevo won the h2h at NCAA. 3-0 ISU
133 - Ayala Dec Ortega 3-3
141 - Frost Dec Bailey. Repeat of NCAA. 6-3 ISU
149 - Ech Dec Estrada. 9-3
157 - Caliendo Dec Paniro. 9-6
165 - Kennedy Dec Euton. 9-9
174 - Arnold Dec MJ. 12-9 Iowa
184 - Ferrari maj Dean 16-9 Iowa
197 - Elam Dec Endene 16-12
285 - Bastida Dec Kueter. 16-15

Guys this is going be a tight one. Iowa has more sure things. Hard to see them losing at 57-84. Some of these matchups could get kind of wonky. Let’s hope we get both teams at full strength.
I can 100% guarantee that Ferrari will wrestle Elam

And nobody knows that yet either. People think that but nobody knows. What if I told you that Mikey himself hasn't even decided. Have you talked to him?
I’ve heard nobody with any credibility say Caliendo is going to cut down a weight class after 4 years at 165 lbs.

I think it’s just fans wanting him to go to 157 because Messenbrink and they are infatuated with Gabe Arnold getting in the lineup for some reason.
