No he took over from chip Kelly prior to start of last season. Be interesting to see how desirable thay job is

Those 300 probably regretted it. Chip Kelly had a warning seat when he left (to be an oc) and he had them getting 8-9 wins a year
Agreed. I wonder if gambling has also added the vitriol here at CF and elsewhere.
The job isn’t as good as the brand, but it may be a good stepping stone. Foster was so bad that a competent coach will look good getting them to Kelly era level, and could quickly move on to a real football school
Pretty crazy to fire a coach this early. Not sure how much can change from a team chemistry standpoint and getting wins this season.

I will never forget how much the Virginia Tech fans talked down to us during their last coaching search.
Especially since they've only played 3 games, many players can still take a redshirt.
I remember when Notre Dame fired a coach before Game 1 because he said he had a masters (which I think they require) and a local newspaper dug into it and it was made up. Not only did he make it up, he like joined 2 college names to say thats where he got it from.

George O'Leary was fired by ND in December, 9 months before ever coached a game, he was on the job for like 5 days.
Alabama fired Mike Price in May before ever coaching a game due to strippers and a lady friend in his hotel room.
