I get the skills that Anthony Davis has...and pairing him up with LeBron sounds great...but how can anyone count on AD to be healthy for an extended period of time? He is becoming one of the most over-hyped, underachieving NBA players...I know his is very good or can be...but he gets talked about like his is a legend and I just don't see it!
He’s really good. Just can never stay healthy.

The Lakers got their Mickey Mouse ring in 2020. That’s all they really could ask for pairing an aging LeBron with injury prone Davis.

I think most people outside of Laker management and fans knew that partnership was going to end in disaster as time went along. And it has.

Don't short-change them...they won the In-Season Tournament last year! (I think??) LOL!

He's the #4 PER player of all time. Top 3 are MJ/LBJ/Joker.

But it just doesn't work out that you can pencil in a championship if you surround with some pieces the way you can with those others.

The key with that team is you need to round them with shooters to space the floor for AD to work down low and for LBJ to drive. If you don’t have spacing, there is only so many plays reddick can draw up to get them buckets. Problem is they just don’t have that. Their best 3 pt options are AR and knecht. Reddish and Hach have shot well this year but you probably aren’t going to play many lineups with AD, LBJ, and one or both of those two at the same time.

Edit… that and their defense just isn’t that great.

You also can’t expect 40 year old LeBron to be 30-year old Lebron. It’s amazing what he’s able to do at 39, but he’s probably not a top-10 player in the league anymore.

100% but if you put the right pieces around him, it would be easy to put together a couple more chips.

In season tournament courts look great. Keeps the cool factor but in a less distracting way.
