***2023 NCAA Volleyball Tournament Thread***

It's fun how Madison has become a vb town. I remember going maybe 1x pre Carlini and then getting in relatively easy to watch against PSU and Micah. This yr we had to go 3rd party to get tickets to early pre conference nobody (actually it was Miami who did make the tourney but UW made them look like 8th graders) and people camped for GA tickets starting 6am today.

Watching TX/Stanford. Interesting that on a challenge from Stanford (on a touch) prompted the announcers to mention all the tape on the Texas player's fingers. They mentioned that was a good "strategy" as it is harder to see on a replay since it blends in with the net.
???

I always wondered how many rolls of tape that the team used.

Texas/Stanford tied up with 1 set apiece.

Thursday Night:

1st Semi-Final: Pitt vs. Nebraska

2nd Semi-Final: Wisconsin vs. Texas

Interesting that they decided to move the Final from Saturday Night to Sunday afternoon. It's on ABC now instead of ESPN but they are going against a NFL Sunday. Will be interesting to see if it helps or hurts the rating on that.

Figures. ABC in central Iowa is not available on Direct TV. Direct TV is having another pi**ing match. Country dwelling at it's finest.

It's a Tegna thing, and in addition to WOI and WQAD, Tegna owns the ABC affiliates in Austin, Beaumont, Dallas, Corpus Christi, Louisville, Memphis, Sacramento and Scranton (among others).

My Hulu scheduler lists Sunday‘s championship on my local ABC station but also ESPN+. Same as the semifinals ESPN & ESPN+. Maybe that is an option for those individuals without their local ABC channels.
