***2023 Iowa High School Football Playoffs***

You need to watch Chris Williams interview with Chris Cuellar of the Iowa High School Athletic Association on the Iowa Everywhere podcast from earlier this week. Cuellar said that the boys association has never, ever had a contract with IPTV for televising football and basketball. The last 10 minutes of the interview is solid.

I'm less concerned about the particulars and more concerned that games are easily accessible to people who want to watch them. This is a classic "you had one job" type of situation and they botched it.

You can play "up" if you agree on it.
You can, but few if anybody does. The travel for these small schools is crazy already, so that cannot be a reason for splitting them up. Schools like Moravia have over 30 out playing teams like Melcher Dallas and Morman Trail that have less than 15. It's just silly, but the state doesn't seem to care.
People say they could share with another school, but most schools are against it and the sharing agreements do not last long, even when they are successful.

Bedford fans are livid but I had no problem with the targeting call on the kickoff. Kid clearly launched himself head first
And was a somewhat point of emphasis in this weeks video review.

As far as watching it goes I am seeing normally scheduled Peoples Court on Fox YTTV in CR.

Combine A and 1A into one class, and then divide the 8 man football would be the way to go, If you have 20/25 or more kids out you are in the large school 8 man class, others are below in the small class. The roster difference between schools in 8 man is crazy. There is a beds limit for the class, but somehow teams are getting around it to play 8 man. Gives them a better chance to advance to the dome.
Having both an A and 1A class name has always seemed strange to me.

if its on the local fox station why is everyone up in arms that it should be iptv instead?
I didn't know the title games were being broadcast for free on TV instead of the paid streaming, so I griped about games not being on IPTV because that's how it always used to be. Then found out they're on FOX. Honestly couldn't care less which of the two provide coverage as long as everyone can get it.

The team that won A last year is about to win 1A this year.
If Powell from MFL is playing I’ll take MFL for a friendly wager? I’m not above betting on high school football

So what's the scoop with Woodbury Central, is WH just going to run over and through them like they do everyone else?
