2023 Cyclone Volleyball

UCFs got some big arms, but it doesn’t seem like they’re giving it 100. I can’t explain it. Perhaps because of that first set score, but bizzare effort so far

It’s strange overall tonight.

I’ve lost count of the challenge numbers so far. Gotta be getting close to 10 and we’re in the second set.

Good fight in the 2nd. 80 mins later and we’re still in set 2.
Just what we were saying. Not what I expected tonight, but ok as long as we win I guess.

Well, sit tight. We’re now down 23-22.

You look at the final stats for this UCF match and you wonder how in the hell ISU won. I was able to watch the last 1.5 sets so I didn't catch why Stonestreet departed in the first set. Gonzalez and Englebrecht both had negative attack %s with CJL subbing in McCune and Hatch.

If they can beat Cincy on Saturday (and they should), I am thinking they avoid being placed at Lincoln or Madison on Selection Sunday this weekend.

She stretched a muscle when going for a dig. Kind of did the splits. Hopefully not a pull.

The young woman who replaced her (sorry, can't remember her name) represented herself very well I thought.

Paula Krzeslak replaced Stonestreet. I agree that she played very well.

I think the UCF coach was out of challenges at the end of the game. She seemed to need some help with the number of timeouts, etc she had left as well. Chalk it up to a 1st year coach?
