NBA: 2022 NBA Playoffs

I think it was last year TNT was playing a documentary on the Inside the NBA show after some playoff games. Haven’t seen it this year but it was a good watch.

Ja... wow. All the talk was that GS was the veteran team that wouldn't be rattled but they fell apart late, Ja made plays.

Golden State wins this and the series was basically over. Memphis had to have this game. Golden State still took home court away from Memphis. They are still the veteran team that has a 10-2 record the past 12 games. They're fine.

I agree, they will be focused and be scary good the next game but they were awful the last two minutes . Really uncharacteristic.

That's all Morant. When he's on he's incredible. But they were lucky he WAS on tonight or they lose. He scored 47 and they still had to have him play out of his mind to win at home.

It will be interesting to see if Brooks gets any more discipline. I don't think he had any ill-intent but it was an obviously dangerous play with a harsh outcome.

You're exactly right they need Morant to go crazy every night. I remember Chuck talking before the T-Wolves series that you don't know who Memphis's 2nd best player is. Jackson? Brooks? Bane? Quality depth plays well during the regular season, but you need a Robin to help pick up the load if Morant isn't other-worldly and I'm not sure they have that.

I agree but I think of the teams in the west, Memphis is the worst matchup for GS. They are more athletic and more physical. People threw a lot of shade at Minnesota for how they executed down the stretch against Memphis but GS looked just as lost and out of sync the last couple of minutes last night. Maybe Memphis should get some credit. GS will win but Ja is going to be a difficult fire to put out.

Ja is unbelievable. I remember thinking before his draft he should go #1 over Zion. It's always incredible in a league like the NBA that someone can just look so much different athletically than everyone else.

I think Kerr will figure out how to load up on him and he will have a harder time scoring the rest of the series.

It's going to be tough, Memphis is very comfortable playing five out with Jackson at the 5 spot and Golden St doesn't have a shut down perimeter defender who can stay with Ja (not that really anyone can match his quickness) but this version of Klay is not the defender he was pre-injuries and now with Payton out, that's one less good defensive option. That's one of the big reasons I thought people were really over looking Memphis going into this series, Denver did not have the guards to take advantage of Golden St's guards defensively. Memphis does, and not just Ja but Bane and Brooks too. Bane has not played well the first two games but I think he'll have a couple big games before the series is over.

Ja is too inconsistent as a scorer and the Warriors just had a bad night shooting or they win by ten. I think the Series goes 6 but the Warriors win.
