If I were Gonzaga, I wouldn't leave the conference they are in. They make their hay on playing a couple P5 schools non conference early in the season, then win 20 games in a row in the CIML and get overseeded each year. If they go to the Big12 they will get lost in that league with all the really good teams. Just IMO.

I was just thinking about what a nightmare Gonzaga is going to be to seed this year.
They have 2-5 seed talent but their resume is going to be total dog$*** compared to actual 2-5 seeds. At the same time imagine drawing 7-10 seed Gonzaga early on, that would be horribly bad luck vs catching any other 7-10 seed. I mean at this point there is a 99.99999% chance ISU will have a stronger resume than Gonzaga.
It’s almost an impossible task to seed them when they flounder against their admittedly tough non conf assuming they still burn through WCC.
Playing near home matters. Middle eastern teams already having historical best World Cup and it’s barely begun.
Houston will have some games where they really struggle to score. Their defense & rebounding usually always shows up though.
I would assume that move would be about getting paid and that would be the end of the list there.
Iowa getting actual defense played on them is a bit eye opening.

It sucks for IA to always lose against teams that they are better than.
The Dipsh!t Brothers went 0-8 for zero points combined against TCU. Add in Murray and those three were 4-21 for 11 points.
