Guessing we lose to Cornell, beat Oregon State, then have North Carolina in the 3/4th place match for blue pool
I think if we win the ones we should and keep it close, we could be a small upset away from beating Cornell. They have firepower but so do we. If we keep off our backs, it will be close. Yianni can only get 6 team points.

Best guess on that dual:
125- toss up, if we want to win the dual then Kysen needs to beat Greg D (3-0)
133- Heavy underdog. Vito will likely get bonus against either Ramazan or Redding (3-5)
141- Favorite, Swiderski needs to bonus whoever Cornell has at 141 (7-5)
149- Paniro needs to keep this to a major against Yianni (7-9)
157- Slight underdog, but a key match (7-12)
165- Favorite here, but Ramirez is tough. Will be difficult for Carr to get bonus (10-12)
174- Underdog, but guessing we only lose by decision (10-15)
184- Favorite here, but Loew is good (13-15)
197- Cardenas is good, but Yonger should get bonus (17-15)
Hwt- Slight underdog, guessing we lose (17-18)

Based off that, we would need to win the matches were favored (141, 165, 184, 197), win 2/3 tossups (125, 157, hwt), and avoid getting pinned/giving up bonus at 133, 149, 174. I guess there is a path, but I still think it will be a tough dual to win

I agree it will be tough. No disrespect to Paniro but Yianni is Yianni. I have a tough time thinking it will just be a major.

Their hwt hasn’t beaten anyone of note yet so I give us the edge there - unless I’m missing a good win he had. Also crazy to think Saunders still can’t crack the line up he was a huge recruit. That Vince Cornella is tough and that should be a great matchup. Yapoujian going to be healthy? I think he’s still recovering from a knee injury unless he’s better now. I got the cyclones winning it

In this scenario, Coleman would potentially have a tough weekend. OSU #6 (Munoz), Cornell #7 (Loew), and UNC #10 (Kane). Probably slightly favored in all of those matchups, but he will definitely be tested.

And if we beat Cornell and make the championship, which I think we have the ability to do, take out Kane from UNC and insert Aaron Brooks instead.

So many good matches to look forward to. Would love to see it in person. Oregon state is tough these days. The other pool has some fun ones as well

There will be no question where he stands in the hierarchy by years end. I like that he will be battle tested and will have laid hands in the top guys before March.

That little Pitt dual snuck in on me. I missed that when previously looking at the schedule. That's a sneaky good and big spot on the schedule. Damn, we have about as tough a schedule as you really could ask for.

I still need to go and figure out who's going to be at the Scuffle this year, once I do I'll add it

Schedule is light years above where it has been in the past. Might not have quite the same dual record as we had last year, but guys will be battle tested and hope that shows at tourny time.

There is very little chance we will even have close to the same dual record. Especially if the injury bug gets bad (but I like our depth more than in the past). I do like this way more than many many other years. It will be fun with very few 'breather' duals of teams we can coast through. The opportunities are right there to improve seeding in March. Hopefully, we can capitalize on that.
