2021 men's CBB coaching carousel

I think Pitino's undoing is the inability to keep talent from the MSP area. He's gotten a few of those guys in Oturu and Coffey, but man has there been some great talent that's left the state. Tre and Tyus Jones, Hurt, Zeke Nanji, Jericho Sims, Suggs, Dawson Garcia, Chet Holmgren (likely).
Yeah I get Reid Travis going to Stanford because its Stanford but he's missed out on A LOT of locals.

Twin Cities has some major talent in that area. AAU is HUGE up there. You bump into college coaches and recruiters non stop.

The Morning Rush was actually saying the same thing about Prohm. How he hasnt shied away from questions, blamed anyone, etc. They also said our players havent thrown shade at him.

Prohm is a guy that you have a hard time not liking as a person and like how he runs a clean program but at the end of the day his job performance is measured by wins which is where he has not done well at lately. I'm hoping for a mutual parting much like when McDermott left where all sides parted on good terms and found success afterwards.

I don’t see IU landing Stevens or Drew. It’s not a better job than what they have.

Drew seems like a pipe dream. He's retiring in Waco.

Stevens might be having enough with Boston and the NBA, though.

Bloomington would be a pretty soft place for him to land.

Chris Beard (unlikely) and Eric Musselman will be huge wants by big schools you'd think.

God, I'd love Rick Pitino to get an Indiana call, LOL.

I think Drew is a longshot at IU, but Beard certainly in play I think. This all assumes Stevens says no.

JP needs to move soon - dominos are starting to fall

Just reading the statement from IU. Statement says that 'private philanthropic support has been obtained for ALL transactional costs and obligations related to the change in leadership'. Basically "we have our man and the Dollars have been obtained to take care of everything"
