After yesterday's debacle, the team really needed this one. Mauck was the setter during the last two sets and a healthy Schuler is helping end the season long DS merry go round.
Hopefully tonight carries over to next week. Looks like Piper got her job back. Wonder if she comes back next year, hangs it up, or transfers.
ISU closes out the Fall season with a weekend sweep at last place TCU. ISU had to win the 4th set 28-26 to get to set 5 tonight. Finished up the Fall at 5-9 with two make up matches against OU in the spring and I presume some non con matches will be scheduled as well. Texas and Baylor will make the NCAAs for sure. KSU finished up at 10-6 and may need some tough non con matches in the spring to get an at large bid in the reduced field of 48.

You're probably right. Teams playing their confernce in the spring are going to have the advantage being fresh in mind. We were picked for third prior to the season - hadn't counted on West Virginia finishing ahead of us. They were picked for last I believe.
Based on CJL's comments, Mauck and Enna are both done with ISU VB and will not play in the spring. It also sounded like Herrera will not as well. Brandt will be the only setter on the spring roster if 2021 signee Addi Heidemann doesn't enroll early. CJL will have plenty of DS/L options to replace Enna and to identify a starting DS for next season, the question is whether any of them are good enough (outside of Schuler) to support a NCAA tourney quality team. OU make-up matches will be held for sure and I am assuming that other non con matches will be with the likes of Drake, UNI, TOE, Creighton and maybe one of the neighboring B10 powers. Might as well play the best competition possible given the team's NCAA tourney chances are toast.
It is a rebuild so I agree 100% - We need a couple of Conaway Schaben Capezio West type players or we are in the bottom half of the league for good.
