NFL: ***2020 NFL Season Thread***

Not Nice:

What does that mean, "league source?" Sounds like the classic trial balloon by the owners to see what they can get away with.

IMO, they are both dead men walking for 2022 and Pace in particular will tip his hand to this fact when he trades away contracts for picks and moves down this year to accumulate enough picks to fill out the roster. Because that's what the owners will want.

This past year he spent a huge amount of resources on a multi year deal for Robert Quinn and a two year deal at big money for an aging Jimmy Graham. It didn't work. Failure to get a free agent deal done for Robinson tells me the owners aren't letting him spend money any more after that. They tried it his way.

Dolphins should probably draft a QB or trade for Watson if they can.

Urban will be interesting to watch, it's hard to imagine him failing but this is totally different than any of his other jobs.
I don't find it hard to imagine him failing at all. Lots of coaches fail in the NFL. And Jacksonville is not traditionally an easy place to win.

I get that, it's just that he's never failed. Even Saban had more question marks when he made the jump than Urban does. Lots of coaches fail but there are very few with his track record.

Certainly, he's got a great track record, and he definitely could be very successful, I won't deny that. The NFL is a lot different than college though. A lot of really talented coaches have tried and failed. Hard to say how he'll translate, but I'm sure he'll give it a good shot.

Wasn't nick saban a failure in the nfl?
